Vassell, Ball, Mills, Fernandes, Ched, Hamman are all Championship players IMO. None are good enough for this league anymore.

Why is Ball getting selected ahead of Garrido? Why is Vass getting selected ahead of anyone? Why is Mills even being mentioned?

Is our squad worse than Hulls? Or West Hams? Or Boltons? Or Wigans?

Is our squad worse than Brighton or Forest?

Very disappointing some of the players' performances yesterday, they looked like they couldn't give a fuck, but the players we've got are much better than what they're showing and at the end of the day it boils down to the manager

Stick with Hughes, its this mass of championship-quality players that should accept the bulk of the responsibility, not him.

A mass of championship quality players that were good enough to finish 9th last season before Robinho, SWP and Kompany were added to the squad.

You make my point for me Moomba. And the same nucleus that have failed themselves consistently for the WHOLE of 2008, overlapping two seasons, with two high quality international managers. If it were not for the decent start of 2007/8 under Sven then this squad in the main nearly took us down. Richards, Dunne, Ball, Elano, Fernandes, Hamaan, Vassell, Benjani - are not Hughes' players, and at the same time not good enough at this level. Let us monitor where they end up and how they perform, when they are eventually moved on.

But we did have a decent start to 2007/08 and we did finish 9th over the course of the season. With the players that are being written off as championship calibre.

We are thin on the ground. Vass will now play as SWP is out. Derby decided against making abid for him last season.

Ball is awful. Come on, you know that. I am not Hughes, I have no idea why he is selected, He wont be now as we have Bridge, thank god.

On paper no our squad is not worse than the above. On form. Yes it is.

On the day against both those teams the desire was less than those teams.

Its attitude. I am not pointing the blame at only the players. Look at my earlier post on the previous page and you will see.

Are you telling me the players I listed are Premier League quality?

From that list of players, how many do you estimate will be picked up by 'top six' premier league sides, and play consistently for them based on ability and form; i estimate possibly none. Most of them will resurface in lower table sides, championship or retirement in Hamman's case.

add elano and didi hamman, dont think we dont know what you are doing.
you are a digrace to your proffession, have'nt got the balls to put it in for the fans.
you know the only chance you have at city is if the manager leaves before you do.
well i firmly hope you lose this battle and the club stand firm and rid us of you and the other cancers within the dressing room.
I'd put Elano firmly in that bracket. Hamann for me is finished as a footballer.

Dunne and Richards did OK for me yesterday. I felt Dunne was one of the few players who put a shift in.

We have one player who is unprofessional, but largely we have poor players, and round pegs in square holes.

Loss of Robinho, SWP and Ireland takes most of our attacking potential away. And this is further undermined by loss of Petrov, and Benjani, Bojinov who are long term absences.

I don't want to see Elano in a City shirt again.

From that list theres one who hasn't played (Mills), one who has hardly played (Hamann), two that have been selected when perhaps they shouldn't have been (Vass and Ball) and a kid (Evans).

It's not really representative of the squad we have at our disposal.

If Hughes is as strict a dsiciplinarian as we're led to beleive then I expect that bunch of lazy, useless, overpaid wankers to be training today [Sunday] starting with a meeting where they are told in no uncertain terms that they WILL play for the reserves' next game and training willl be double sessions for the next week, ie they don't fuck off at midday but work till 5pm each day on team working and basic defending and passing to their own team.

Still not answering my question Moomba. They are championship players and you know it. they are part of our squad regardless if they are picked. Hamann has played plenty this season, as has Ball, Ched, Fernandes and Vassell.
