Evil, you are spot on. We have to get a team that actually resembles a managers own. Keegan was the last time we had that. I am confident Hughes knows what players are right for us as well.

..and may God have mercy on our souls

So zabaletta, kompany and Sweep haven't been good signings?

If its so obvious that these players are deliberately trying to sabotage the club with their performances, then surely the detrimental tactical decisions hughes has been making all season must be just as deliberate. Maybe the squad and the management team are in competition to see who can make the biggest contribution to our downfall.

Some of you people should think before you post.

Luckily for us Hughes appears to be pretty good in the transfer market and knows which players are suited to the prem, doesn't make up for his other short comings as a manager, but I'm still fairly confident that money given for him to spend won't be wasted

add elano and didi hamman, dont think we dont know what you are doing.
you are a digrace to your proffession, have'nt got the balls to put it in for the fans.
you know the only chance you have at city is if the manager leaves before you do.
well i firmly hope you lose this battle and the club stand firm and rid us of you and the other cancers within the dressing room.
They were fine last season - what's changed???
0-6 at Chelsea. 1-8 at Boro. 2-3 at home to Fulham. 1-4 at home to Arsenal. 1-3 at Birmingham. etc.

Does everybody miss the point or what? This club (and many others) has only succeeded with long term commitment to one manager, be it Mercer, Book, Bond (to some extent), Keegan and Royle. Short-termism doesn't work fellas, not in football, its knee-jerk, and gutless.

Do we really want to fire a manager after 20 games in charge, the best British manager around, decent signings already, more to come. How he managed to produce a Eufa table-topping position from this squad is nothing short of a miracle in itself, yet this is forgotten.

Someone actually used a line on here which included his subsequent disappointment after an away win at Schalke and a 3-0 defeat of Arsenal. Yes there have been equal disappointments, but thats the nature of the problem, when a new manager is appointed. What would the self-proclaimed genius Mourinho do? The same i guess, gradually phase out the bulk of this squad with better players, and struggle to manage the dross about to be moved on.

Don't panic.

Dunne saved us from a few more goals.

Shocking how Zab outshines all of them, every single game, and hes been here a few months.

Said it before and said it again, Dunne is a shocking captain. I love him as a defender because we know he can be class, but fuck me he is an awful captain. Time to pass the buck to someone who gives directions. To a certain tall strong black belgian in the centre of midfield who will break your legs if you go near him!

I know, it just amazes me that people who post on here, who I thought were intelligent, believe the players are playing shite on purpose!!! LOL

All fairness 2 Dunne (Even tho I think its time for a replacement) am not gunna sit ere and slag him off today cause I was at the game yesterday and the poor guy was covering 3 positions Ball and Richards positions so in all fairness he had his work cut out BUT!! having said that the guy is the team captain so he should be able 2 organize his team mates a bit better then he has been doing

Ball should be on his way this window, you would think Garrido is days ahead of him. Dunne and Micah are shite, it's the same tired routine, let the ball bounce and whack it forward, never mind that they can't defend. Elano's passing has gone to shit and Hamann is "36 going on 49".

I'm also putting Hart's name in there, he was great last season but he just hasn't impressed me this season and made far too many errors, no keeper should ever be beaten at his near post like that.

I though Dunne was one of the better players today.. Like someone on GMR said:

He is covering for Richards and Ball - which is making him look bad.
Its been like that for most of the season, to be fair.
Of course when I first said that about 3 months ago I got a lot of abuse from the Richards cheerleaders who claimed I was only sticking up for Dunne because he's Irish

At least eight of our players should question themselves yesterday , on a day when probably every Forest player gave his all.

Our misfits should all be lined up against the gasworks and shot!

not read throught his ,but the players singled out in the thread --are they on strike are they trying to get Hughres the sack?

I've never seen such a drop in standards Dunne is just abject

Richards is worse

Well said de niro.
With maybe the exception of Dunne yesterday you are correct.

Mark Hughes came to our club with a reputation of having created the fittest, hardest working team in the premiership at Blackburn. At the time 'just what the doctor ordered'.
A manager who can get the best out of his players both physically and mentally.

Unfortunately for Hughes he has inherited a squad where half or more are not willing to put it in on the training pitch and get themselves up to the high level of fitness he demands.

Hughes knows what type of player he wants and has a good eye for talent.

Playing the likes of Vassel instead of Elano is his way of trying to kick Elano up the arse. Unfortunately rather than react in the professional way and put in the effort Elano has chosen instead to SULK.

Sacking the manager now will almost definately leave us in a more precarious position than we already are.

Hughes has brought in Kompany, SWP, Zaballeta, Robhino and his training regime has in my opinion got the best out of Ireland. He has just signed a quality international full back in Bridge. He has young players like Sturridge also rising to the level he demands. OK TBH has been a poor signing.

Richards has been awful all season, everyone knows he'd rather be in the Gym.
Dunne has been poor but with a pregnant wife and the bunch of crap playing along side him is not surprising.
Ball is a sunday league player at best.
Haaman is past it and certainly isn't up to it physically.
Fernandes runs and runs and runs and then runs but then he runs.
Elano is a world class player but is a luxury. No room for luxuries in the prem i'm afraid. putting in a 5 minute shift, patting your badge and taking every corner or free kick badly simply isn't good enough.

Being in the position we are at the moment is going to make it hard for Hughes to get good players in this window, but lets wait and see.

Yes it was a total bag of shit yesterday. I believe the reason was that after SWP went off injured our best 3 players weren't involved (SWP ROB SI). The majority of those players left on the park know they are not in MH long term plans so decided not to put in the effort.
It is (in my opinion) simply not acceptable to put any less effort than 100% when wearing our beloved shirt

Lets get behind the manager and see who he brings in!
