David Beckham has been left out of the Great Britain Olympic football squad by Stuart Pearce.
The former England captain seemed to be certain to be part of the summer event but Micah Richards, Craig Bellamy and Ryan Giggs have been picked as the over-23 players.
Beckham is still expected to come to the Games in some respect and may have a role to play at the opening ceremony.

Yes so right! I predicted this when he wasn't picked for the Euros! And hearing BaconChops has stopped all his players apart from Giggs entering it.. Mancini could refuse to let him go but My feeling is that I think Mica is up for it
