anyone know how long he has left on his contract? just wondering if he returns to form in Italy, he might be worth bringin back in to the mix again next summer with Zabba and Lasagne no spring chickens.
1 year remaining, so he won't be coming back.
Until then we can always offer him a new contract

You would think that is quite unlikely. We offered last summer, he refused.

It doesn't seem like a lot, but unlike most ignorant fans of rival clubs who just think we're "wasting" him, each club will have experts who will be fully aware of his ridiculously poor injury record... and the fact he hasn't actually been any good at all in any of his appearances in the past year.

Still think we'll get a buyer, might have to lower the price or make it an add-on based deal. Oldham's cut is 20%?
Didn't they waive the sell on fee?

That's an urban myth apparently. If Micah decides to sit out his contract it'll be hurting his old club Oldham more than City one could argue. Even £1m would be huge for them.

I would be mightily pissed off if we dont get anything out of this Richards transfer. Even as much as 750k would make a big, big difference.

You'll get nowt and I can have no sympathy with that. Directors of lower league football clubs have to make financially prudent decisions and at that time it may have looked like that, but there is always a risk. He could have retired with dodgy knees or a heart condition or run his contract down in other circumstances after being tapped up another club with more cash than us- at the time of the buy-out offer anyway:

They made a financial decision with some risk involved and unfortunately for the club it back fired on them, but "theeez eezz footboll" business.

Apparently said in a presser that city offered him a 5-6 year deal.

After Badelj, Fiorentina continues to introduce new players arrived from the market. Today is the turn of Micah Richards, an important defensive reinforcement arrived from Manchester City. These statements in the press conference.

"Over the past eight months I have not played the way I wanted, I had received offers from other major clubs in England, then I spoke with Fiorentina and they explained the project, I was hit and I thought I'd be the right player. While ago I had a serious injury, on my return Zabaleta was playing well and has earned the place. working I wanted to go back to being the holder; Manchester City has offered me a renewal of 5-6 years, but I wanted to start from scratch. That type of player they are? Obviously I'm a defender, the most important thing is to know how to defend and my main feature is the one on one. latter Premier that I played but I have collected 7 assists, so I also like to work on the offensive . Which are the objectives of Fiorentina? When I spoke with the staff of Manchester United, I was told that the team wants to invest to build a formation with many talents. believe that this see also the atmosphere, I can give the My contribution to increase the level of the rose. I have not talked about right goals, of course we can fight for the Champions League. Frustration at City? For a player is frustrating to stand out, but Zabaleta had played a very good season. With Mancini was often turnover of full-backs, we won the championship and I also played well. Jovetic What I said? Before I spoke with Savic and then with Jovetic and Nastasic. I have spoken well of Fiorentina and that life is good in this city. They told me that this team has this plan to build something very important, and I noticed when I got talking to teammates. Balotelli? We were good friends when he was playing in England with Manchester City, we all know his character. I think he was a very good choice to go to Liverpool, will play with Sturridge, another great friend of mine. The British fans love him very much, in the field is very strong. Montella What are you asking me? I trained 4-5 times, introduced me to the rest of the team and in these first two weeks I'm settled. Then tell me what to do and what to improve. One of my idol? As I grew one was Vieira, I've also played together a couple of years and it was great. A great leader, great player. Also he told me about this possible choice, which would have been great for me. In my role I have no idols. Resentment for how things have gone and advice for young people in England? Leaving after 12 years it was very difficult, but I have no resentment; it is also thanks to the City if they are where they are. Some things have happened in the last year, I thought I could play more because I showed what I was capable of doing and giving. But I'm happy with this experience. The City has 22 players that play in the National, it's hard to get there. I hope that the English teams in general exploit more their youth sectors. As with all teams at the end is the coach who decides, and if he sees that player deserve in the end puts them in the field. Could I stay in the Premier League and follow the path easier? For me this is a great experience, I would not preferred to remain in the house but I wanted to go abroad. I saw that this team was particularly ambitious, and last year he finished very well in the league. Differences championships? I've always seen outside the Premier League and I've always noticed that you play at a faster rate low, but becomes more attention to the technical teams play tactically. This is something that I want to improve on reading tactics, are improved when I coached Mancini. Then again I have not played, so I could respond better in six months. Which form I prefer to play? Not wait to play with Cuadrado. I like to play both at 3 and right in line 4; then I will adapt to what the coach asks.'s national team? have been summoned when I was playing regularly, so I hope to demonstrate my level of being able to return to the national team. If I can play Sunday against Genoa? Actually I only played 15 minutes with Manchester City in the Charity Shield, maybe I need a little 'time. "

I hope he reaches his full potential out there in Italy.

I think he sees he has no real chance of getting into our team. At right back, we have Zabaleta and Sagna. Kompany and Mangala as centre backs.

He's been poor the last few times he's played for us, but that's because he's hardly played. The lad desperately needs regular first team football.

I suppose there's a slight possibility he'll be a centre backfor Fiorentina, do brilliantly and come back as our third choice CB, but I doubt it.

Anyways, I hope he reaches his full potential out there and shows everybody what a good player he is. In our first title winning season he was the best right back in England IMO.

If we'd have been offered a decent sum then he'd have accepted the offer.

Our Chairman is hardly going to accept 500k when he's just breaking into the first team and looking to be come major England international.

The reason why I'd be pissed off is not because I'm being greedy and wanted millions, it's because Fiorentina will be paying around €6m for a permanent deal but because it's worked out as some kind of dodgy / odd loan fee, rumour has it we don't get any of it.

Get over your bitterness, it's a straightforward loan.
