I disagree. He's been cleverly marketed to Blues since day one. I recall his programme features and chats on the pitch at Maine Road when he'd broken through. If he wasn't a City fan then he'd just be another British Boxer to most of us. Amir Khan is from just down the road but he doesn't get anywhere near the attention.

Pacquiao destroyed him in an astonishing display. He's also intelligent and has a wide variety of talents.

Yeah, it's the worldwide appeal of a then Division Two club who saw him elevated to the highest echelons of boxing.

We did take 900,000 to York away! But, in all seriousness, it was City who got him going. The momentum picked up after that.

Hatton isn't the very best in his field and never has been - but many insist he is. Perhaps they recognise that Mancunian trait of being successful but spectacularly imploding instead of quitting whilst you're ahead.

The people around him need to keep a very, very close eye on him. He doesn't look stable and I fear he'll do something to harm himself.

Stop talkin shite

That's obviously a well thought out response where you've provided reason for your differing views. Keep it up.

Yep he is talking bollocks. Hatton was THE MAN at 140lbs for a number of yrs. no one could live with him at that weight in his prime.

Shame it didn't work out, hope he's ok. Time to take up another sport. Cricket maybe???

Pacquiao was light welterweight when he beat Hatton within 2 rounds but this was a fair few years after he beat Tzyu. It certainly wasn't a comprehensive win, either. He just edged him on points and Tzyu's team had to throw the towel in.

I'm providing facts and stats to back up my radom bollocks. If people chat shit at me then I blank them. Never argue with an idiot because they've got more experience than you.
