Right back options

Guéla Doué also looks like a talent and a half, defending looks decent and seems good at build-up play
 
never been Nunez fan at right back but his attacking stats are quite impressive, maybe Pep thinks that out ways his defensive frailty. If he wants to go a little more solid then Kusonov might be the option. Haven’t seen anything in Livramento that makes me think he’s worth anything like 60mill

For what it's worth, he has been called up but hasn't played. Morocco is ranked 12 in the world. Their starting RB is generally considered the best in the world. It's probably difficult for the lad to actually break into the team. That he's been named to the team is a start. We have one or two others at City who haven't started for their respective national teams yet either.

I'm not saying El Hilali is the answer but he very well could be. That he hasn't featured ahead of the best RB in the world doesn't mean a damn thing thing.

Alright calm down. Very fair point I’d forgotten about Hakimi. However how many times have you, or anyone on here, seen El Hilali actually play? Or maybe it’s the shiny new toy syndrome

It's not any syndrome on my part. I was just showing you your own mistake. You can be so quick to attack or dismiss posters here, for no good reason. And please don't tell me to calm down. I was perfectly calm when I wrote it.

Being as your posts typically consist of calling people here fucking cunts or some other way to degrade or demean them I can see why someone being respectful but firm is a shock to you.

Sadly, I have to agree. It perplexes me why some can't see something so obvious.

Because of the increased quality of recent PL squads & the increases in the amount of top level games (not including internationals & tournaments), this "can do a job" acceptance amongst some of our fans came crashing down on our heads last season with disastrous consequences.

Nunez is a Uruguayan striker. I doubt Pep is too concerned about him and his attacking stats are definitely not impressive.

He defensively wise just isnt it though and any manager worth their salt will target that side consistently if Nunes plays there and then that exposures Dias more as he gets dragged out of position.

He's 28. Won't happen, but I love this guy's shithousery. I've seen him take the piss out of Vinicius Jr. on several occasions. Gets in his head and bangs him around physically...
 
As crazy as this sounds, I count maybe 3 RB's in the world that are clearly better than Nunes (assuming he maintains/improves on his end of year form) and below 29 years of age. Hakimi (up for rape charges or something grim), Trent (not for us), and Kounde (think he just resigned or is about to).

The ready made RB market is scarce. Thus we must sign for potential, The Vanderson, Livramento, Gray, & Wesley types are probably the closest to being first-team quality. It seems Spurs are interested in Grealish so Gray could be an option. But I doubt he walks into the team. Same with most of these guys.

I think City are doing the right thing here by not panic signing some 30 year old stop gap RB or overpaying for some youngster that is no better than Rico Lewis. Khusanov or Reis could be considered world-class RB's next year for all we know. No issue with us waiting for the one. The panic is well overblown.

I think it's going to be the latter, but if we do that, we need to start looking at players that can paper over some of the cracks of the options we currently have at RB.

We would need to get a high-energy player who can track back and cover for Rico and Nunes, and we would need to become more attacking (Potentially) if we play Khusanov there.

Given the arms race going on in the league, we are going to have to eventually get in that, especially if we have as much money to spend as we supposedly do.

Vinicius literally went 11/11 take ons against him where they trashed his club 5-0 while scoring ALL goals over his side

Ait-Nouri!

Every top team now plays 3 CB profiles. Khusav and RAN should provide good balance. 3 at the back in possession. Hopefully Khusa has had a good summer of training and can take the leap. Thats our most likely route to a dominant backline IMO. Gvardiol and Khusa are rapid too so will be excellent wide CB's.

When? Vini Jr. has never scored more than 3 goals in game and not against Mallorca. Che cazzo stai dicendo?
