Feared the worse when I read the thread title and pretty gutted it turned out that way, 'The Young Ones' at the time were probably the funniest thing I've ever seen, and, my impersonations of Rik got me more girls than I care to remember, very sad to hear

You kind of grow up with these people, don't you? Rik Mayall is forever one of the Young Ones and forever one of the young ones. It's hard to credit he was 56, let alone that he's died.

I don't know why it is with some people - you hear news like this and just think it's sad, and other times you're really shocked. When Elena Baltacha died I was truly, genuinely upset by that. Same with this. Odd.
