I'm genuinly gutted about this. it feels like I've been kicked in the stomach. i dont usually get upset when celebrities die, but this one has really hurt. I think we can all agree on blue moon that this is a sad day for comedy

I am in general an unemotional person when it comes to people outside my family. This news though has really got to me. Easily the funniest comedian I've ever watched. Had me psychically aching from laughing so hard as Richard Richard in Bottom when I was a kid.

The Young Ones was an obsession of mine as a 13/14 yr old. Words can't convey how much I loved that show, and Rik Mayall was the key to most of it.
