Rio Olympics

Jade Jones coming up in the Taekwondo final. Only 1 gold medal between us and China (GB are ahead), so it'd be good to get a few more on the board; this, we have another woman who is aiming for gold in the taekwondo, women's hockey final, Nicola Adams and Mo Farah. Hopefully that will be enough; although there are some dodgy events like modern pentathlon where we could scrape a gold.

Top performance from Jade Jones, thought she might have been in trouble in the 2nd round but more than made up for it in the 3rd, another gold!

Bolt's achievements will never be forgotten, phenomenal. Gutted for Gemili.

Has anyone ever been leading by a big score in Olympic taekwondo and been knocked out ? If so do they lose ? Only asking as I watched loads of fights today and the fighter losing by 7-8 points with 30 seconds left doesn't seem to be going for a big knock-out like sometimes you see in boxing, when a fighter knows he/she is miles behing on points.

Gutted for Gemili . Getting sick of the rag love in.
To be fair to him, he was asked one of those choice of two question rounds last week by the BBC and one of them was "football or cricket" and he said "cricket"

Ok haha I will let him off then. I am sure he's arsed what I think! He is an amazing athlete & I don't think we will see what he has done for a while again. It just irks me that our own athletes get forgotten about, but I suppose that is just because he is so unbelievably good.

Only a guess, but I suspect it's almost impossible in Olympic taekwondo which is mostly sparring.
To kick someone hard enough to knock them out would probably be considered excessive force.
