Rio Olympics

His personal best is .27 second behind Bolt's. If Bolt loses, it will only because he doesn't perform to par. But let's face it, he usually does.
Bolt is 6 years past his best and coming back from a hamstring, Bromell has second fastest time this year ( by 1/100th of a second) and is 21. Just sayin'

These beg to differ.

West Ham pay fuck all in comparison to other London organisations in rent:
www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/04/14/olympic-bosses-reveal-west-ham-stadium-deal---including-25m-annu/

It was a vanity project for bent Seb,Blair, Boris and Cameron. And West Ham gained from it, so good business sense from them.

Have you actually read any of the articles you've quoted?

The Guardian article seems to be broadly supportive of the Olympic Park. The main complaint is a lack of affordable housing but most of the schemes it refers to aren't actually in the Olympic Park and are nothing to do with the planning of the park or the post games legacy.

The BBC article is nothing to do with the Olympic Park. It's a criticism of the lack of sporting legacy throughout the country from the games. The article actually praises the regeneration of the area.

Which other 'London organisations' pay £2.5M rent for '25-day-a-year usage'?

Enjoyed watching that Brazil game tonight, for obvious reasons, but in terms of the games overall, things I'll be looking to watch:

Cycling - both road races, men's t/t and some of the track. The BMX stuff can be quite a watch too.
Rugby Sevens mens - GB up against the mighty Kenya, Japan and, er, New Zealand
Triathlon - Brownlees
Athletics - pretty much most of it, but Holly B in PV, Sophie Hitchen in Hammer, Heptathlon, sprints, 5K and 10K, relays, women's 100m hurdles (where the world record holder doesnt even make the USA team),

To avoid: horses, golf, tennis, anything in a boat, opening and closing yawnathons

6 years past his best and still the reigning world champion in all 3 sprinting events he competes in. The fastest time this year was Justin Gatlin, and he's 34. Admittedly from a proven drugs cheat.

It amazes me some of the sports that are in the Olympics. Sailing? Who ever got to try that in school? And it's not as if it's riveting watching. I don't mind a bit of rowing and canoeing though.

Yeah, tbf, I had in mind rowing and sailing when I posted that - canoeing on the white water I do enjoy to a degree. Discussing sailing, fencing etc puts me in mind of the stat that 7% of kids go to private schools in Britain, but over 25% of the GB team were privately educated. Certainly didn't do much fencing or sailing down my local comp.....
