Awful news to hear he fought so valiantly even keeping his carpet shop going when most would of packed it in. Had some great European away trips with Bill before he was struck down by this debilitating illness.

Hopefully he is at peace now. It was a pleasure to know you Bill you were a gent.

Only had the pleasure of meeting him once, when he was kind enough to sort me out with a ticket for Spurs at home. Sat in the SE corner of L2 with his family and friends. Great company, and a great memory.

DeNiro was a lovely bloke. Met him many times at aways. Always good for a chat after I basically said - “you must be DeNiro” T an away match somewhere when the forum was in its infancy.
Really sorry to hear this. Absolutely shocking condition MND.
