RIP Freddie Hill

Saw him play for us a few times. Obviously very skilled but sadly by that time a little slow. RIP Freddie.

I liked Freddie. I always used to say he could put the ball on a sixpence. Not the fastest but very skilful.

He was a bit of a cult figure with me and my mates for a very short time. I remember him as very skilful but very slow - and very popular.
RIP Freddie.
very similar to me and my mates verdict, until, well after he played his last game for us, he turned out in a charity match for ( i think) a Freddie Pye all-star game. Most of us "just in case subs" were taken aback by his pace, from the Kippax he looked and was slow, but against us amateurs, no way.
Though his legs were worn out, his brain bought him space and time, a genuine classy guy. Rip Freddie.
