He was, he would not be out of place in the company of the likes of Bettega and Riva. When you can be talked about as being in the top tier of Italian footballers that is something special.

Him and Zola lit up that very good Chelsea side of the time under Harding.

Remember routing for him and Samdoria at the wembley CL final when they just lost to Barca in 1992 - Vialli, Mancini and Lombardo was a great side.
