I hope the end comes quickly and as painlessly as possible for him at this stage. A genius of a footballer and lived quite a life.
I don't think the World Cup is ever talked about without mentioning Pele. A true icon of the game and the World Cup.
Could someone post the highlights of the 58 WC final? His two goals are superb
I was 7 when Brazil won the 1970 World Cup. I remember watching loads of games and I've loved football ever since.
In that era we were blessed with the best childhood heroes Pele, Muhammed Ali, Johann Cruyff.
I found this - click on it to link to YT where you can watch it
How is Bob Monkhouse these days?Alan Brazil says hi.
Agreed, funny thing is, and maybe what a lot of the younger generations miss, because you had to feel it too, is how much of a global icon he was even back then, when I was a kid, Pele was so well thought of and talked about around the world, the amount of attention he got wouldn’t look out of place even by today’s social media standards. The Greatest. The Ali of football.
By the noises coming out of the hospital, they should just pump him chock full of morphine and let him drift off.Grim. When his time is up, I hope he goes peacefully.
Fortunately, Fentanyl patches usually stop any suffering.Grim. When his time is up, I hope he goes peacefully.
Don't remember Christ passing this year....Christ. Christine McVie, Mark Lanegan, Julee Cruise, Coolio, Martin Duffy, Robbie Coltrane, Terry Hall (yes, I know he was a rag but I loved the Specials), and now Pelé's about to join the celestial football team. Cancer is a bastard.
Don't remember Christ passing this year....
Easter surely?.we are supposed to do so every year - oddly enough about this time of year too
