RIP Tony Book

I only checked the main football news page on the site, he deserves more than being a side story elsewhere on the site.

He should be in the main section with the main stories and high up it too but the fact it isn't, sadly it doesn't shock me in the slightest after all he wasn't at a cartel club.
I’ve just tweeted BBC Sport and Dan Roan to complain. They need to get their act together!

It's not that many years ago he was banging the crosses in for Joe Hart - catching practice. Absolute legend, humble guy, fabulous RB and also a fine coach/manager - unfairly sacked by Swales. RIP great man.
Could still smash them in even in his 70's. I'm pretty sure he stung Joe's hands more than a few times.

Hope it works @Gary James them and sky are an embarrassment, I'm glad that we have people like you on our side to show we have a rich history.

Get this re-shared and liked if you're on that X/Twitter fellow blue mooners, it might be the only way the story gets published if it gets enough attention...

Really sad news today. Great fullback Bookie and a great humble man. This is what’s bad about old age. It’s not the fear of dying it’s friends, relations, and people you like who’ve made a mark on your life that’s upsetting.

Rest In Peace Bookie.

RIP Mr. Book. As other have said on here, the real Mr. Manchester City. He did it all.
He also managed my favourite City teams up until the current incarnation. What a team that mid seventies team were. And then fucking Swales...;(

Rest easy Skip, you absolute legend.

RIP Mr Manchester City
A footballing gentleman and a truly great servant to our club.
Stuck with us throughout the dark days loyal as you’ll ever get in football.
Glad towards the end he witnessed all what we won.
RIP Tony.

I hope you mentioned their extensive coverage of the death and funeral of the tea lady from that club down the road?

The biased bastards had wall-to-wall coverage had even Simon Stone doing a live feed from her funeral.

Tony Book. A true legend. You witnessed the highs and the incredible lows. You will be much missed. Thank you for your incredible service to City. RIP.

Mike Minay the GMR BBC correspondent for us should be pushing this with his employee.
Disgraceful why no mention on the BBC sport website.
Christ United's ex receptionist who recently passed had more recognition.
