I went to Anfield the week after to leave a City scarf on the gates.
I was with two mates from Uni. One was a Koppite who just sat in his usual spot on the terrace for ages in complete silence.
The other was an Evertonian. We went to his house in Kirkby after and bumped in to one of his neighbours who was there. He just looked completely pale and didn't want to talk about it.
The trouble is that there will never be justice for the 96 as the authorities seem incapable and unwilling of being accountable. No surprise to those us who have to deal with them on a regular basis. Individuals in public office have a way of disappearing before they ever have to accept responsibility whereas they never leave us alone. That's why it won't go away. Why should it?
