Rishi Sunak

Really? They have said time and time again what their approach will be
Is that approach to actually deal with the issue, by giving a plan that is acheivable rather than dog whistling like the current government?

Even Tories are stepping away from the governments approach, it’s that bad.

Labours plan it to tackle the cause unlike the Tories who are trying (and failing) to tackle the symptoms, which is a far more logical approach. Whether it works, hopefully we will find out after the next GE

Aye. And, if people choose not to see or hear what that plan is then they are just a bad-faith actor or have no interest in this subject and should not comment on such an emotive subject. Or, is that what they want, to rile the uneducated?

It's absolutely the plan - but a little harshly phrased.

I can see how someone can easily buy into the narrative.

Focus on Albanians, and the fact that they're mostly young men from other countries, to make the economic migrant argument. (When the reality is they're mostly from the countries you'd expect, Syria/Afghanistan/Iraq).

Focus on the difficulty of housing them while they are processed - the odd riot, or suggesting accommodation that you know is unsuitable, and will get "criticized" and likely next used, while you are just "trying to solve the problem. (When the reality is that speeding up processing would save money, and solve most of these "problems").

Focus on the courts stopping you from fanciful plans like Rwanda. (When the reality is that they know it's not a viable plan - it's just a cheap way of pretending to do something - a huge dead cat that is ready to be thrown into the room whenever needed.)

But there's enough in there for someone to "know" a lot about the issues and still think the Tories are doing the right thing.
