Rishi Sunak

Much of the Maths I learned at school I have never, ever used in real life.

Trigonometry.
Quadratic equations.
Calculus. (What the fuck was that about?)
Calculating the volume of a cone.
Log tables.

I've forgotten how to do long division, as it's so much easier to use a calc. And in the unlikely event of my wanting to calculate the volume of a cone, I can look up the formula on the internet in a trice and then use the calc.

Like generals who want to fight the last war, politicians who poke their noses into education always want to make it fit for 1956, not 2056. This of course suits all those dinosaur Tory voters who think we should still be writing with quills and using the abacus.

JRM wants things fit for 1856. The future as he calls it.

2nd question and an attempt at a nickname for Starmer as Sir Softy (has he just invented this one?). Used it again on 5th question.
Failed to address the point at any of Starmer's question resorting immediately to context-free numbers.
Sunak bleating about that Starmer's pension issue is a bit rich (pun maybe intended).

He's pathetic. As you say, quoting context free numbers is insulting to those suffering. a 45% increase in x sounds impressive, but not when x was so fucking low in the first place.

Sooner these destructive twats leave office, the better

He boasted rape convictions up a massive 60% - thats still only 1.6% of total rape arrests leading to a conviction - you can see why Sunak likes to be clever with numbers
