They’re toast and it would actually be a good thing for the Tories to just get it over and done with, have a clearout and start again.

I am not a Conservative voter but I’m not one of those people who blindly just think they’re evil. There have been some very good Tories - the likes of Rory Stewart, Ken Clarke and Dominic Grieve who were booted out when the far right loonies took over.

Just like Labour had to after the 2019 embarrassment, the Tories need to clear out the extremists and get back to the centre ground.

Sunak’s main failure is that he didn’t shake off the sleaze and idiocy that plagued Johnson and Truss’s disastrous tenures. It’s the same old far right whack jobs in charge. That’s what’ll be his nail in the coffin.
