Rishi Sunak

We have more vets than we did in 2019, however there are more pets mainly due to people getting them in the pandemic.

So yes, it's a flat out denial we actually have more vets but those vets work for large companies. Are you saying that these poor vets can't come to little old Britain to work because the immigration fees are too high for them? We could have a fucking whip round ehh? :)

As I said, an over-reach.

I think you've swerved the issue and maybe didn't read the link.

"The annual number of (EU) registrants coming to work in the UK fell by 68 per cent from 1132 in 2019 to just 364 in 2021"

But we've still got more vets per capita than any other country in Europe?

Our arses are well and truly falling out of our trousers.

I've heard that the main reason for vets fees increasing is actually the proliferation of insurance and the number of these big chain vet companies. So they basically price it according to what a big insurance company can afford to pay, not what individuals can afford to pay (which then makes everyone's insurance premiums go up, of course). I've also heard someone mention that they have been able to negotiate a big discount if they're paying out of pocket as an individual, but I don't have any experience of this myself.

I reckon we're going to see a lot of pets dying pretty painful deaths because of people not being able to afford medical treatment for them in the near future.

Yep, but Mexico is cool with that as it is nothing to do with the EU.
