The £30000 over 5 years for specialist teachers? Turns out to be an extra 15k on an existing scheme. And there's still a 79% shortage of specialist physics teachers, so unlikely to make much difference.

And it's not recruitment that's the problem but retention (retaining teachers is better than constantly having to recruit and train new ones).

So we're getting a metrolink extension to the airport as part of the diverted HS2 money.

Would be laughable if it didn't just sum up the total incompetence of this government and it's total lack of knowledge of anything north of Watford.

If I wanted to be charitable I would say that he meant the completion of the original plan for a Wythenshawe loop where the tram to the airport continues on to loop round through Newall Green and reconnecting near Wythenshawe Hospital.
But he would have no idea about that at all and doubtless thinks that its a new airport link.
