Pretty much every fan base thinks the media are picking on them. United for example point to them being criticised even when they win and a media campaign to get their Manager sacked.
Personally I think it’s clear to see that, whatever happens, the media want to talk about Liverpool and United and that’s because the coverage brings a bigger audience. It’s all about money.
Remember that this same audience will tune it to hear City in a negative light.
It’s entirely unfair and very annoying but expecting City to complain is ridiculous. It would be like that cringey statement Arsenal put out about VAR.
On the plus side I’ve never heard a side referred to as “the best team in the World“ so often. That maybe due to the fact that there are a number of web sites factually showing that like the one below, but they could just not mention it I suppose!
