Rival Fans Commentating on City Games

I'm not sure I understand? All goals/incidents are checked by VAR, regardless of weather anything is shown on TV. For their penalty after some time the commentator said "the VAR check is complete".
Yes all incidents are checked by VAR but I wrote "STOPPED the game" which is totally different.

He didn't say the foul wasn't worthy of a penalty though did he? He said their was a pull by Haaland before the foul which should of have lead to a free kick to Chelsea but that VAR didn't go far enough back to look at it.
He was also about to blow a gasket when it looked like Haaland's 2nd might be ruled out for handball.
He literally said "there's something wrong here" after the decision was given and that was at the refs'. For me the implication that City have bought the refs was introduced, or that the refs have made a terrible terrible mistake.

Lets imagine Aguero was commentating, he would have called that a penalty 50/50 but City deserved it because Haaland couldnt jump - The media and oppo fans would have called it out but City would get to have some say, some influence, in how things are seen. Because what we are seeing is a whitewash of everything against city!

But actually looking at it in the cold light of day it was a fifty penalty at worst. I think it was clearly a pen myself, the stuff before was handbags where the refs let it go.

The most unprofessional thing I witnessed didn't even involve us . it was when united beat Arsenal last season early in the season and Gary Neville was on co-commentary and he was literally screaming and cheering down the microphone when they've scored.

I understand he is a united fan and people get caught up in it but you're being paid to do a job and you should do a professionally

They're a disgrace

In recent years, it's become common for Old Firm games to be commentated on by one person but to have two people (Andy Walker [Celtic] and Ally McCoist [Rangers]) add their 'expertise'. It's patently obvious that neither of them is neutral, but the fact that the other is there acts as a counterbalance and arguably makes them more objective. Absolutely no reason why that policy should not now be adopted in 'big' games in England.

As long as you would have though it a clear penalty had it being given against us that's fine.

We seem to get City players who aren't really City fans. Richards and Sturridge for example yesterday.
