Ended up blowing my cover in the burton end on tuesday calling him a shithouse after he put in about his third halfarsed 50/50 challenge..spineless

Behave - Why wasn't it the player who passed to Kev's assist then

Because there was nothing remarkable about it, there was about DeBruyne's pass.

Mahrez did well, good run and held it up well to cut back to Aguero, what he should've done earlier in the game in a similar position.

Hes doing fine,he was purchased as an alternative and to compliment our existing attackers. He offers those attributes very well.

Yeah, I'm sure Pep dropped him completely last week because he was just doing so fine.

He has obviously not delivered so far, I'm not sure why some people are burying their heads in the sand and refusing to acknowledge it. He's not started a league game since the 15th of December. He's not even played for us in the league in 2019.

That's not providing competition or an alternative to Sané and Sterling.

It doesn't mean he's doomed to be a terrible buy, or his City career is already over, it just means he's not started well and has got to work hard to fix it.

I dont think anyone is saying he has ripped up trees. Most, me included are simply saying his criticism is sometimes well OTT compared to others after a similar performance and b, he hasn't been afforded the same time as others to adapt to Peps system before writing him off.

He is at a new club, new system and is not getting consistent game time. He has always been the kind of player that needs confidence.

Give it some time and I'm pretty sure he will make a huge impact.

I seem to recall a certain David Silva not exactly ripping it up in his first season here - he wasn't even a regular starter. Vinny wasn't great in his first season and how long did Zabba take to become established. The way Pep wants individuals to play takes time - look at his first season here - so to condemn Mahrez so soon is disgusting. This is someone who has a great first touch, wicked left foot, an ability to to stand players up in the box and go past them as well as bringing others into the game. So he doesn't have the pace of Sterling or Sane but then again who does?

Comparisons to David Silva seem particularly disingenuous considering he was new to the country and league and needed time to learn the language and get used to the league.

Again, I'm not writing Mahrez off, but that's a shit comparison, he's been in the contry 5 years, speaks fluent English and has 180 PL appearances under his belt.

fine margins, if he'd have converted at Anfield he would be immune from the Bluemoon abuse. Think he's been average but that's more to do with Raz and Sane being on fire at the moment.

lets use Sterling then, he took quite some time to get where he is now - no?
