Yeah bad luck for Phil there, I'm 99% sure every other forward in the squad would have given him a hat trick.
Others may disagree, but I am honestly certain that had Sergio been playing, and he was in a bad run of form searching for a goal with the ball at his feet in that exact same position (as the last kick of the game, us already leading 3-1), he would have still tried to square it to Phil for his hat trick.
As much as Aguero can be slightly greedy at times, he really does think about these sorts of things (the square for Jesus in the Liverpool match last season, as well as the Bernardo and Sterling assists this season being examples).
I was disappointed (though, not surprised) Riyad decided to go himself. Although it is good to see him score, like
@Zin 'messiah' Zimmer, I thought it summed up his performance, and that’s not really a compliment, as he was showing throughout that he only wanted to make something happen for himself (as others have said, to boost his own confidence and make a case to start more).
He has the talent (and experience) to be an ‘elite’ playmaker but his decision-making and selfishness is very frustrating at times. I know he has a fair few assists to his name this season but, if you have watched all of the minutes he has played, he could easily have twice as many by now if he was less greedy in the decisive moments (maybe even more as he might start more often, a very large net gain for the team as a whole).
