Thought he really struggled today tbh, more cut backs than a Tory government.

Our attacks seemed to slow down when it reached him and it was obvious that Newcastle targeted our left hand side when they broke out and he got caught out a few times positionally. Bottled a tackle which eventually led to their goal.

He’s obviously a quality player, but he really needs time to adjust to our system and not being the only star man in his team imo. Still, early days...

Has no confidence at all. Mainly a mental topic. I hope Pep talks him up.
Time should be on his side, as we know his qualities.

Every time he got the ball he turned inside into the waiting second defender. Walker had no problem getting past their left back so should Mahrez. the one time he kept wide and didn't lose out to the second defender he caught them by surprise and got a decent cross in.

I am sure he will come good and just needs a goal to get him going, the one think I have noticed is that in each game he has played he has missed a good early opportunity and then seems to go into his shell a bit.
