Cut him some slack. He worked very hard defensively, intercepted the ball several times and put in some nice tackles. Also created several chances. Pep decided that Mahrez was going to take it, not Mahrez himself. Pep even said in the post match interview that he didn't know that Mahrez has missed 5 of his 8 latest pens

On norwegian TV it clearly showed that Pep shouted to Mendy ahead of the penalty, and he then ran and told Mahrez that he was going to take it

Quality player but not synched in with the others,wasted a chance from open play and the pen

Shit penalty yes, but this guy is gonna be great for us, we can either support him for a rush of blood to the head or hang him out to dry like Liverpool fans.
