It was Pep's fault to force Mahrez to take penalty when he did not want to and himself was pointing to Jesus. Pep should have known about Mahrez's record.

Irrespective of the penalty miss, he was arguably our most dangerous player. Unfortunately his end product was poor.

Played well. It's clear he's still got a load of integrating to do yet but the signs are promising. He has only just arrived after all. The miss was disappointing but it's how we react that makes us champions.

If anyone looking for a template on how to react to setbacks like this, Liverpool / Karius is a good example on how not to do it in a classy way

Pep likes his players to lay it of to a player in better position Mahrez YET hasn’t done this he is trying to prove he is worthy he carries on like this he won’t become a pep player.

Shit penalty yes, but this guy is gonna be great for us, we can either support him for a rush of blood to the head or hang him out to dry like Liverpool fans.
I know which one il be doing.

He's gonna do us proud, but Eddie can have the next pen if Sergio has been subbed, or Stonesy, or Kyle, or Ferny or any fucker but Riyad!

I know I'll get slated but I've not been impressed with him.

He's far too predictable, gives the ball away often and his end product has been woeful.

Thought he looked our most likely player. A little greedy, but did more than Sterling/Aguero in terms of creating chances.

Shame he missed that pen, could've been a big moment for him in his City career.
