Needs to get some self belief.
Didn't lack it before the move but looks terrified now.

Looks like he fears losing the ball and get subbed, which he didn't care about in Leicester. Also, competition with idolised players puts him at a disadvantage (proof: he didn't play more than half-hour in last two losses and he is getting stick far more than Sterling and Sane combined).

Doesn’t offer a real threat. Sane and Sterling always offer a threat even when they’re not quite at it. Mahrez looks a poor signing. Not a bad player but didn’t improve us really. His fee should’ve been spent on other areas of the squad

Trying to be rational now that I've calmed down a bit. I think we have been spoilt for the last two seasons with nearly all the new signings either clicking right away or showing so much potential it felt like we could give them time. Marhez is a league winner who is not a young lad coming to a new league, he came with a great reputation and we paid our record fee to land him. Many like me, thought he was to be the missing link, the plan B when teams sit deep. At Leicester he ran at defences, including our own, with pace and purpose. Yet, so far in a blue shirt he has turned into a more negative player - It's kind of like when SWP went to Chelsea - he seemed to be in awe and never looked as explosive as when he broke into the City team. When he came on today am I wrong thinking he should have been busting a gut to prove his worth? How many times have we witnessed ex-players come back with something to prove against us? Marhez was the same as always today and added nothing to our attack. Today was a game made for him to make an impact yet he failed to provide any sort of spark. The pen miss - after insisting he take it - was a real low point for him and he hasn't recovered from it. Maybe I'm wrong but to me Sane and Sterling at their peak ages didn't need the competition and other areas were more of a priority. I know we all hope he will prove to be a good buy in time but so far he looks like a player worth the £400k Leicester paid for him not a £60m top drawer player. Not our money I know, but his signing is one of the most underwhelming of recent times. So far!

He seems less threatening with us. Maybe at Leicester he was ordered to stay further up ready to scamper onto a long ball then shoot/whip it in. It always seemed to me on the break his decision making was very good with the ball usually ending up in the back of the net. With us he seems a very average paced player who is very one footed. He has not been terrible but nor has he enhanced us at all. For 60m we should expect a bit more impact by now.

Comprehensive analysis for another day but why did we lose TODAY?
