excellent news
That lad from the SmithsGood Eccles? Only good? If only he was called John Mahrez
Not sure if that's a disagreement.
No denying David's brilliance - absolutely superb and often instant control - but I've never seen a player either instantly control a difficult ball, or take it instantly into his stride without pausing like Mahrez can, nor as perfectly so often as he seemed to do it last season.
Same here. He doesn't even look at the ballI never tire of watching Mahrez control the ball dead first time, he's an exceptional talent we need to keep.
Could control a ball instantly no matter how hard it was hit at him.Just a difference of opinion mate.
Whereas Mahrez takes it out of the air, he comes nowhere near Dave when it comes to actually taking control of the ball instantly under pressure.
Mahrez has the luxury of being told to keep the pitch wide, so defenders are never really touch tight.
Dave played in the pockets, right in the action, usually receiving with his back to goal, so his instant control is even more miraculous.
I find Mahrez's instant control out of the air impressive, but more one for the cameras.

For what it's worth, I totally agree with you, but Silva's magic was often positional and his second touch rather than his first! But we really have seen some spectacular players over the last decade, what an honour.Just a difference of opinion mate.

Is there a sanity clause though?Good news. Hopefully there's a no penalty clause in there.
