In the words of pep 'Adapt' if a winger can't come then adapt. maybe play with Bernardo more central and play with only one natural winger, i believe Barcelona did this alot at one point.
completely agreeDefinitely not worth the figures being mentioned in the papers, If the club do want another winger then i would be looking elsewhere if the figures are correct. You can't keep breaking the clubs record on every new signing.
The player has to be special if you are going to break the clubs record. Laporte makes sense he's no doubt come the be the clubs number one center back for the next 6-7 years, and rightly so, if he fulfills his potential he will be one of the greatest in the world. He's a brilliant player and some of you who haven't seen him will soon be on board with that opinion. So i get breaking the clubs record to get him. However breaking it for a player who will more then likely become a rotation player?
Exactly when do we play rigidly in our formation at the top end of the pitch, Mahrez will play on the left the right and through the middle as Sterling, Sane and Jesus doForget which side he will play as it will change the same as it has done with sterling and sane rotating in games as and when they need to against the opposition.
Maybe not, but Sterling can & throughout this season already our wide men have rotated during matches in any case...Seeing as he's coming in to cover Sane, can he play down the left? If not I'd think it's not a great move, every time I see Mahrez he looks a great player but on the right wing
Good point, well it would have been, but we apparently made an initial approach much earlier this month. One of the reasons for bringing forward summer signings was to get them cheaper than they'd cost in the summer.
Going to Leicester a day before the deadline is going to do the exact opposite
If we had been negotiating with them since or before the window opened we'd probably get him for 45m at most
Perfectly summed up. It may be a case of 'adapt' i'm very confident Benardo and Diaz can do a job out on that right. Bernardo is going to be a star, let him do his stuff. Pay that money and then clubs may take advantage of it in the summer, making it real bad business. One of the reasons for bringing forward summer signings was to get them cheaper than they'd cost in the summer.

Look at Aubameyang's goal record, he is going much cheaper than he would do because he is desperate to go but Arsenal wouldn't get him for 60m or less if they had just started bidding now, leaving BVB no time to sort out a replacement.
I don't blame Leicester for quoting stupid prices. It's the club's fault for leaving it so late.
