This has got the Sanchez saga written all over. Who knows if Leicester were encouraged by Arsenal's end result whom were in a similar situation with Sanchez & actually ended up doing fair well out of it.

There's pattern there whereby all the clubs involved refused the players' moves last summer and stuck to their guns regarding their asking price (with Sanchez the his diminishing contract put the ball in his court). The result? They eventually got what they wanted.

Sanchez was 29 in December 2017 and Mahrez is 27 in February 2018. There's 2 years and 3 months between them, so not a huge difference.

yup it did, we didnt end up with the money grabbing twat. If Sanchez cared about the football he plays he would have been with us.

I do think Mahrez cares more though, he is younger, wants to win things proper;ly and more importantly learn, I only see Liverpool as our transfer rivals.

He's tried the stance: "playing as hard as he can, thinking Leicester would honour their verbal agreement and let him leave" several times now, without success.

He may be so very disappointed that he feels forced into a new half hearted approach, that seemed to get Sanchez the transfer out that he wanted.
