Out of interest anyone know how Mahrez's stats stack up against Zaha's?

Martial, now aged 22: 15 goals in 70 games for Monaco, 36 in 136 for Utd. Best season for both: 9 league goals for Monaco, 11 for Utd.
Rony Lopez, age 22: Last season 15 goals in 38 league games for Monaco.

Why not skip Martial, and sign Rony Lopez ?

Or just stick with the original plan & sign Mahrez, seeing as he is capable of the same goal output but is five times better footballer than Martial ?

Genuine question, but if he's as good as you clearly rate him, how has he not made the Portugal squad?

Without doubt Pep would improve both Mahrez and Martial. However, Martial as far as I am aware is not on Pep's radar.

If we don't get Mahrez I think will go far Zaha.

My bad, it was actually west ham wasn't it.

I think you were sort of a bit right.
Utd had him on loan with an option to buy him.
They didnt buy him , knowing we would.

So in effect they couldve stopped us getting him.

(Im sure they regretted their decision)

They offered him a five year contract and he said "not in my lifetime".
