Huh? I don’t understand how you can be making this point. We didn’t have a natural 9 in the squad. He had that ONE dead rubber game at the very end of a season playing centrally and doing well. My point was, some people looked at that ONE game and argued he could be our 9. That wasn’t true and was never in consideration as we pursued a big name striker that summer. And his role the following season wasn’t going to be of a 9 — not what he was brought in for either. Also, in the half of the season before he moved to Barcelona he barely played because of an injury.
