Straight swap for Zlatan and I'm happy. :)

Your r jokin he is Crap with a capital C!!

Agree - in my opinion he is one of the most overrated players their is and would not do much in the premier league. Still can't believe that Barca paid £40m + Eto'o for him

When stories like this keep cropping up, even in rags like the Daily Mail you start to believe there is something in them.

Despite our sky high ambitions I don't think you could blame Robby for leaving to join Barca - though he might regret it when we beat in the Champions League in a few years time!

I'll be livid if we sell him for just cash (i.e no players in exchange)

I'll be slightly less livid if we get one or more from Y.Toure, Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Abidal as part of the deal.

best case scenario though is that he doesn't leave at all!

Why? Barca are infinitely better than us in every single way.

Sure we don't want our best players to leave, but if he does leave for Barca i certainly wont hold a grudge.

Plenty more fish in the sea.

I won't hold a grudge against Robi, it's the club I'd blame - there's a strong argument that when a player has their heart set on a club like Barcelona with an actual chance for it to happen, you can't really do much - but what you can do and it is unforgiveable not to do, is get the best deal for the club. Money alone (especially not only a million or two profit, if that) isn't worth it to us at this stage but Barca have some players which could be fantastic additions to our squad. It's just common sense that for the deal to be anything like worth our while, player(s) have to be coming the other way as part of it.

Reading the comments on the MEN website makes me laugh
How can anyone suggest that Robi be allowed to go? Robi has been the catalyst for getting everyone else to our club. The guys a superb player and can only improve given the players around him now. He's even learnt to track back and fulfil his defensive responsibilities.

Short memories. Half of you would have 'turned' for him last year if he'd have asked you to.

Money gone to your heads boys?

PMSL XD

I can see 4 out and 3 in happening in January.

Robinho/Petrov/Richards/and Benjani replaced with Right Back, Left Wing, Centre Midfield. I don't think Les will overload the squad.

I think Les has a basic requirement that all players should be able to tackle, it's a shame because I think Rob and Petrov bring other things to the game. They are fantastic players but as long as they are sold abroad I can go along with it. Would HATE to see Rob at Chelsea and MP at Spuds!

String 'em along and get 'em all excited like they did to us with Eto'o and then feck 'em off.

Barca's interest sounds real enough, but why should we sell?

Only if it's in our interests to do so. And Robi wont rock the boat

Xavi/Iniesta....LOL, just LOL!!!! We won't sign players of that calibre for a long, long time... if ever actually. If this happens it will be a case of Robinho not liking Manchester or just wanting to return to sunnier climes. It won't be to do with money, obviously, for either party. It will be a case of Hughes knowing Robbie wants to go and him not standing in his way so a drama doesn't unfold with nasty words between 2, perhaps the 3 parties involved but to think we will ever sign the likes of Xavi or Iniesta in particular is silly.

Lets get one thing straight.

Robinho is a world stage talent. Otherwise why would Barca want him. Anyway we already knew it. We have seen him play.

He is a far superior player to Tevez who although he gives a 110 per cent can't touch him for technique or indeed I would suggest goalscoring capability. Adebayor is a great player but as of yet not up there with Drogba, Torres or Ibrahimovic.

The criticism coming in from fans with names such as Benarbia is funny to say the least. Ali B, Kinkladze and Goater all City legends but none of them fit to lace Robi's boots.
