Way out of reach of the goalie, just like he has done dozens of times. I can think of two or three dozen strikers who might have hit Row Z with that chance.

There might be a little bit of 'winding down' but the fact that Pep starts him is a clear indication that he thinks there's a valid contribution to make. Had he thumped in that pen as he should have done there would have been very little to criticise about his game today. I also await his performances with his new club, wherever that may be. He is not the player he used to be but who is. Kompany was forever getting injured and lasting minutes of a comeback game but he finished on a high. 'Twill be interesting to see if he gets another start in the PL games that are left!
 
If he is availble then yes but I am still sticking by that Bayern aren't going to let him go. That valuation is probably to put any teams interested off.

Bring him in for short term gain, and the club he leaves replaces him with a striker for the next 10 years at our expense?

Great , great player but no thanks.

Has similarities with the VanPersie situation, he went to the rags and was brilliant for 12 months, then he cost them dear in finance and the future.
