Kinkladze showed tremendous loyalty to City, It was Joe Royle who did not like him as he preferred 4 Jeff Whitley's (crabs) in midfield rather than any flair players.
Ali Bernarbia was class in the 1st Division but could not do it in the premiership too slow. However that year was the best football I have seen by City when we played under Keegan in the 1st division.

Ali in the prem was 34 to old but in that first season in the prem as a 20 min impact player he ripped teams apart I E his diving header against Villa.

The first division Bernarbia played in was alot stronger than the first division Kinkaldze played in. Also Bernarbia played in a succesful team with players such as SWP, Goater, Huckerby, Berkovic, Dunne, Horlock, Pearce, Wanchope. Kinkladze played with such "talents" as Brannan, Beesley, Clough, Creaney, Crooks, Hiley, McGoldrick, Darren Wallsall FFS.

The move to ajax he was played totally out of position from day one on the left wing.
Kinkladze played in the premiership Ali B had no impact.
I always think that the Player Of The Year Awards are a good judge on how good a player really is as the fans are the best judge of players in the 3 seasons he played for us he won it twice.
It will be interesting to see if Rob wins player of the year for this year even with all his goals, personally I think it will be Stevie Ireland. If that is the case does that mean Steve Ireland has made more of an impact than Rob ??. Must remember that the players surrounding robinho are far higher quality than buster phillips, brannan etc.
Debate will go on I am sure....
