Do you want to take the bet then?
That bet is about 1/6 to happen

1/6 that at least one will be gone?
I would say yes..

Dzeko was 2/5 to go the other day and tevez 4/6..

That market has closed for now, although dzeko is still 8/13 to join milan..

I agree with you its near certain one will go..

The deal for RVP, if there ever was one, is dead in the water

I think City and Mancini were waiting to see Tevez's attitude in training and to sus out if we were going to have a repeat of last Summer and the transfer requests.

So we keep the best strike-force in the Premiership together, and concentrate on strengthening one or two positions if possible. This is the best outcome possible

Why do people ever believe what a manager tells a journalist in a press conference!

Do people expect Mancini to say what he really thinks, "Tevez is a fookin' timebomb, its important he fooks off asap"!

Mancini was pretty insistent. There were NO weasel words for future wriggle room...
"Both Dzeko and Tevez will stay at City. We are a great team and we try to keep all our great players. It won't be easy but they will stay here."

RVP is too old, is injury prone and will have no resale value.
This "no resale value" argument annoys me more than the "he's too injury prone"

Not every player is bought with the intention to sell them at a profit, or at all.

And every player is "injury prone", some are just more unlucky than others.

He has been at Arsenal for several seasons and taken them into his heart.

I know that he will want to prove he is the best, but he will not be used to rotation and that may not be to his liking. He isn't coming to sit on the bench and with us having Aguero, Balotelli and one of Carlos / Dzeko it will be difficult to them all in for some consistent playing time.

No player wants or expects to play 70 games a season

Just as well. The only way we could play 70 games in a season is by intentionally taking every FA Cup game to a replay. Otherwise there's not that many games in the calendar.

Might happen pal and he is an international but I do beg your pardon for slightly over estimating

Agree but then again most players are bought with the intention that there is some resale value that may be 10% - 50% or 150% of whatever the player was bought for - cant think of may clubs that allow players to see out their contract most are slld if they wont commit with 12 or 18 months to go - RvP -DJ are such examples

Logic and Roberto Mancini say he'll stay. Mancini's comments to the Italian media are as forthright as you can get
Tevez and Dzeko will stay at Manchester City

Pretty much ensures that RVP will stay at Arsenal, or go elsewhere because Mario and Sergio are going nowhere.

If you were City manager the risk would be that Tevez continues to agitate for a move, but if you were convinced he'd stay then you'd be mad to replace him. He is the best full stop

I wouldn't underestimate Balotelli's impact at the Euro's either. Maybe Mancini saw enough to convince him how much of a role he can play next season.

Over the next 2 seasons we cannot waste money on any player due to the constraints of FFP - therefore the "no resale value" argument is completely valid. Any money spent on a 29 year old player (as RVP will be at the start of the coming season) will not be reclaimed at the end of his contract. As such the club and Mancini will not spend a fee in excess of £10m for him.

It wouldn't surprise me though if Tevez eventually does go to Millan, But if so i would hope we spent the money on a quality younger player (e.g. Neymar) to replace him.
