funny if everyone just said to arsenal 'go fuck yourself'. they receive no where near the 30million they value him at. they are either left with a moody player who doesnt want to be there for another year or they are forced to accept 15-20million for him. i dont think they can win in this

They will accept 20 if they say 30.

The main weakness they have is their board are well known for liking the cash.
They will fold at the thought of losing him for nothing and a season with an unhappy striker.

They have little leverage imo.

"Yep that sounds like us".

"He's going to City then"!

Lol @ the piss poor Rag bastards.

funny how man utd are in some part of the world we come back from austria tommorow its all tying into him flying to china with us offer 15mill and ade back have done with it haha

With another defender i.e. Skirtel, and RVP we will be serious Champions league contenders. if NDJ does not sign a contact we will need to replace. Wonder which sticker has done a deal to go?

Don't know what that means, RVP going on strike because he wants move to city but Arsenal playing hard ball?

Nope. Thatcher's back. Ben Thatcher that is.

Arsenal know full well they won't get anywhere near 30mil for him, they just want to try to get the final fee starting with a "2" rather than a "1".

Opening bids are prob low teens and we'll get dragged up to 20mil.

Arsenal want £30m that's a piss take surely, A 29yr old in the last year of his contract! They can keep him.

It is a piss take and I'd be amazed if anyone paid that much for him but he's Arsenal's player and they've every right to stick whatever valuation they want on him. You can't blame them for playing hardball over the fee, especially as there appears to be 3 clubs vying for him.

Why do we even need him? Great player, but injury prone, knocking on a little and not a position that really needs addressing.

Yeah that's true, I wonder will Arsenal crumble the closer it gets to the end of the transfer window and feel as if they have no other option other than to accept bids in the region of £15m-£20m instead of letting him go for free a year later, That's the only reason I think the three clubs won't up there price.

Review

I've just had both my legs amputated and was feeling understandably less than enthusiastic about my future, but that was before I got this jigsaw of Nick Humby brought into hospital as a present, and now the future looks bright and I'm raring to go! In fact when I first unwrapped this jigsaw (at first I thought it was some slippers!) I fell out of my bed! This is because Nick Humby just happens to be my favourite ever man u financial director. Seeing Nick's happy, smiling face as he 'cooks the books' (ensuring the club can afford to spend top-dollar on the best players in Europe such as Bebe and Michael Owen) gave me a warm glow inside as I clambered back into my bed with the aid of a couple of nurses. This is one jigsaw I cannot wait to complete just as soon as I am back on my feet. My only quibble is the tie, which might have been a natty little green and gold number with a picture of sralic ferguson dressed as a red devil on the front. But beggars can't be choosers!
