RVP plays for Arsenal have you seen them play. Pass move play to feet etc etc have you seen City play pass move pass to feet etc etc

pass and move ? we have aguero , tevez and balotelli thats what they do all the time , anything new he brings to the table for 200k a week ?

Lethal finishing, goals that Aguero and Tevez wouldnt score. we are the perfect team for RVP, we play his type of football

Not really Arse play every player to set up perski, wheras we play a more chaotic attacking threat. Everything is played through him hence he scored 30 and the next player was walcott with 8

It's not as simple as, "Arsenal always gave him the ball"

He was always in the right place at the right time, showing for the ball and had 9 assists to his name as well.

Exactly, Dzeko has a very good finishing aswell and he scores with right and left foot , i bet you if Aguero was at arsenal last season he would've bagged 50 goals because hes the center of every attack that they make , while in city we have so many attacking options RVP wont be the center of every attack anymore , he'll still score goals but hes not gonna be as effective as he was at Arsenal because we have other options in every attack , thats my opinion

Well if you don`t know by now what RVP can do,you know very little about football.

ok consider that i know 'very little about football ' and share your wisdom , tell me what is he bringing to us ? somthing we dont have already ! watched him for 5 seasons if not more hes a good player , not worth 20 mill in his last year and a 200 a week wages ! but still im open mided , enlighten me plz

Well lets consider the facts about what RVP could give to our team.
We have shown in the CL that we are desperate for someone with experience and a seasoned goalscorer at this level.
The guy is brave and goes in where some of our other forwards would flinch and maybe that is one of the reasons that he has missed games for the Gunners over the past few seasons.
He creates space and has a brilliant eye for finding others in space.
Anyone who can create 92 goalscoring opportunities for his team mates is for me an extrordinary talent and one that would be well worth the £20M which you are quoting.
I would ignore what you saw in the Euros,as many a good player didn`t show his worth for his country.
Based on the main factor for me,our Manager wants this player and that is more than good enough for me.

well i dont remember RVP tearing teams apart in the champions league last season , but i remember what Cavani did to vinnie and lescott in the CL , him and lavezzi made komapany stretch to the limit and i consider Kompany the best CB in the world joint with T.silva , i think we dont need either but if we're buying a striker then i prefer Cavani .

and Balotelli's going to explode to another level next season , i have a feeling

I have this feeling too.

Ronaldo style, after winkergate.

Haha, I too have an intangible feeling about Mario. Seeing him in the Euro's it was like a completely different player, he looked committed, passionate and above all sharp. Every time he got the ball Italy did something, he made a difference. Even in the final when Italy went down, he was trying his hardest to make a difference.

Dutch media are going mental today with reports saying that RVP is nailed on to the rags. Football magazine Het Voetball Spliff reporting that MUFC have agreed fee of £25m with Arsenal for Robin van Persie.

Hope this isn't true and we still are in the hunt for him. I'm kinda baffled though with both carlos and edin speaking that they will be both in the city squad next season, can we really accomodate 5 top strikers in the club?

Means fuck all really. It was 4/7 just after his statement when i placed 100 on it.
Course it means something, it's letting us know that there has been money coming out of the ordinary.

Means nothing. Transfer betting market is volatile and unpredictable. There is less money "out of the ordinary" than there was. In the truest sense it means fuck all in terms of the probability of the transfer.

So if you checked the betting today and rvp was 1/100 to join the rags and 50/1 to join us..... would you feel just as confident of him coming to city?

-- Fri Jul 20, 2012 6:11 am --

Mate it means nothing. On transfers a couple of £20 bets placed in an hour will change the odds

Koeman - book closed to become our manager
Kaka - book closed to be our player
Sneider - book closed to the rags.

You were wrong on all them 3 for the book being closed..

Of course not. It is going to be difficult to accommodate Tevez and Mario - for much of last season they were unavailable

I doubt anyone at City is looking at RVP - we may have done in the past. Circumstances change
