Do we have to go into Enigma mode everytime TH makes a post. It was quite clear what he was saying.

TH, if "United are spending £100m" and they are in for RVP at £20m? (and Moura at £30m!) do you think we will back away or compete?

He's not saying there spending 100m.
TH is saying " United are spending £100m this summer by all 'informed accounts'" I assumed that was "the word on the street"?

He's taking the piss mate as in every player there going for would add up to 100m.

If the press stories of bids of £12m and £10m form City, utd and Juve are accurate I think you have to conclude that the only way RVP will leave Arsenal is if he forces a move.

Put yourself in Arsenal's shoes. Lose £12m fee in exchange for 1 more season. If they sell the player, they get £12m which is not much nowadays, and they lose a player who gave them Champions League football last season.

£12m is a bargain for such a player, but I think Utd and City are just chancing their arm and trying to get a class player on the cheap. Are we really prepared to go to £15m plus? Can't see it worthwile Arsenal selling for less, and even then it will probably take Van Persie throwing a tantrum to force a move

Looks a long way from happening if press reports about size of bids are accurate

right its about time i commented on this.

i dont know the the figures etc but what i have been told by my mate who ,works for uniteds solicitors ( but hes a blue ) is that a deal was agreed with city in january but city wont pay the extortionate agents fees and that was the only problem.

Ian McGary twitter saying RVP to sign for us within 2 weeks £22m.

Can't wait.

Oh fuck, I was still feeling relatively confident until you posted this.

McGarry is not reputable.

My earlier post today was not an indication Van Persie had agreed to United.

The full stop was simply an immediate edit to a potential legal issue.

The miners strikers, the player has downed tools.

Slur Alex is trying to muddy the waters and apply pressure.

Yesterday, he stated one, maybe two players, a left back a necessity.

Added to a firm £30m offer for Moura, a different position to Van Persie, just a question of how many lies he is currently telling.

As it stands, United are spending £100m this summer by all 'informed accounts'

Moura is clearly the Hazard money. Kagawa and Powell another £24m.

Van Persie another £20m (plus wages). Baines another £15m.

Modric was supposed to be nailed on last month for another £25m.

Chemical Ali has nothing on these cunts.

Well that's pissed on my chips! I need to work on my reading of TH's posts!

Wouldn't surprise me. Story of our bloody lives that! At least if agents fees scupper this deal I won't be as miffed as I was over Hazard.

Have the agents fees now been agreed on Goatinho ?
no mate , thats why everything is still up in the air.
personally i wouldnt be arsed if we dont get him , injury prone , age etc etc also i dont think he suits are game but if we did get him i really dont think he will walk into the team.

also someone may no more about agents fees than me but didnt we have a bit of slagging off not long ago about us paying loads of fees to agents? thats why this rings true as we need to sort it for FFP.

TCIB - ive been swamped already but im not ITK i just know a couple of usefull contacts as i explaind ;)

He is worth 15 million but if its his agent wanting fees tell him to piss off united. Great player not sure he will be as good as last season

If Juventus got him, I wouldn't be too fussed at losing him because he'd not be strengthening the rags.

If United got him, I'd be gutted. Van Persie and Rooney plus the signing of Kagawa (being hugely underrated on here and even by some United fans somehow) and possibly a central midfielder would make them a much harder challenge to overcome.

Watching the Premier League Years showed just how good he can be, some of those goals he scored not even Aguero could score. RvP and Aguero together could be incredible.

Injury history not age is the concern with van Persie. His age is completely irrelevant, at nearly 29 that gives him possibly 4 or so seasons at the highest level especially especially as his game is not reliant on pace. But one breakdown of his knees could lead to another endless set of injuries for him which could mean we pay him nearly £200,000 a week for 4 years to play 15-20 games a season. That's the risk.

I don't think the rags will go over £15million to £18million personally as they have other priority areas like left-back and central midfield (Baconface finally admitted today he has to strengthen it).

Apologies if covered before, but can he not buy himself out of his contract? If so, surely his transfer value is ultimately linked to the value of his contract (even if he doesn't want to rock the boat to that extent)?

He has such a sweet left foot and can hit a ball from distance, would definitely add something else to our forward play, and he is used to playing with Nasri and Clichy.Problem I have is in letting Dzekos or Tevez go,if that will happen,as like them both for different skills...

If someone could Photoshop bacon face onto chemical Ali I think it would be genius but then again rags probably wouldn't know who chemical Ali is.

Let me introduce you to Chemical Alex :)

Why would he buy himself out of his contract it would be stupidity

He has 3 clubs offers on the table - all three decent clubs (it hardly like he is being punted to so Russion club in the middle of no where or worse still Wigan) he knows he is going to get more money than he is on now and if Le Arse dont sell him he get more when he goes on a free next season

A players transfer value is linked only too what one team is prepared to sell a player for and what one team is prepared to buy that player for not much else is relevent

He is 20 million of anyone's money so start from there - anthnig more i would suspect would be linked to appearances because of his injury record
