Tolmie are you saying that like the miners strike was the final battle to crush the power of the unions. The battle for RVP will finally break the perceived power of the rags?
Or am I on the wrong track?

I'd say its more like RVP has told them to get it sorted and he's not willing to do the pre season tour as he has no intentions of being at Arsenal.

I'd ge surprised if these bids aren't just Arsenal trying to invoke more action and interest as they rush to sell.

He's under contract for another. If he's trying to force the issue he's bang out of order. Let's hope you've misinterpreted TH clue as we don't need that sort of player.

Nasri ?

Does anyone know what sources have apparently said that RVP prefers a move to United?

Seen it a few times on twitter, but no actual proper sources. FWIW I think he'll end up signing for City although I really don't think you need him. I think you'd be better off with Aguero, Tevez and Balotelli as your main strikers next season, sell Dzeko and bring in a young striker with great potential to be 4th choice. I think signing RVP will limit the amount of game time Balotelii will get, someone who I think could kick on and become one of the players of the season next year if given the chance to.

Completely agree.

If this was Silva, Aguero, Yaya or Kompany doing this we would be screaming (blue) murder.

I'm not trying to be righteous but I think I'm close to be honest. The lack of protection offered in the media from Arsenal suggests that all is not well. Arsenal will hang the lad out to dry and make it clear he pushed for the move. They will sight the purchases of Podolski and Giroud as backing their case when really they are replacements for RVP

There aren't any sources mate. It's just what spilled out of The Sun's transfer tombola machine one morning.

Yeah, as I suspected. Surprisingly enough there doesn't seem to be any serious indication as to what RVP's actual preference is.

North Korea Propaganda aka United PR team have most likely put it about. Twitter is a platform for bullshit to be stated as fact to an audience.

Many Journalists go with it because its a safe statement. They then claim history, Fergie and Giggs&Scholes were the pull etc. I'm yet to read any statements of quotes from a solid source.

Now if say Pat Rice came out and said Robin favours United you have to stand up and listen. But when its Sportmail Reporter understands that's the initial source which is then copied and added to x100 of people it gets misunderstood. The Hazard stuff was the samr, he chose you lot according to Sky and many tabloids.
