I really don't see why this deal is being held up.

Arsene knows how to sell his players.

The more they wait, the more pounds they will get.

They already bought the replacement, so they are in no rush to sell.
What will Arsenal do when the window shuts and they have an unhappy player on their books

Anyhow that's irrelevant. The hold up is City have 4 top quality strikers, and if we make a serious bid, we have to sell one - not just make one available for transfer.
get on with it. there are unhappy players everywhere who are denied a move. Look at Modric last season. Also I doubt RVP would be devastated as he will be free next summer. So he either moves now or get big signing fee next summer. Thats why I cant see him push for a move

People fall for this utter bullshit every single bloody close season. EVERY SINGLE ONE, FFS! Jesus Christ, the media is full of fucking A J Rowliings and "The Brothers Grimm", and yet someone always, always falls for it.

Reality check - We are the champions. The most imortant thing for us is to RETAIN our players, not bring wholesale changes in just for the sake of it. Bobby wants to add one or two players tops because he wants cover in every position and a squad wih the depth needed to mount a genuine challenge in the Champions League (which, if you remember, was won this year by a far inferior team to ours).

I wish the whinge and panic merchants on here would get a grip and STFU. You sound like spoilt rags. Jesus, you and your "now now now" twattiness.

Fuck off, I say.

Here bloody here. The voice of reason at last. Well said

Mostly incorrect, Bob wants to add players to improve certain positions, ie aj, ndj, Edin, Savic, by replacing these, and making them available for sale, he considers them not up to scratch and wants to improve the quality of the squad and not the depth. Only today he epressed concern that we we needed to improve in quality and he hoped powers that be do their job correctly.
If he thinks like that, then we are surely entitled to also wonder why these changes are slow off the mark. The flapping is nonsense and will never go away, but there are some genuine questions asked and debated at times.

Eh mate, not mentioned a single player in, never mind the exact ones, so that's shite, most of the debates on here concern the above named players perceived by most to be replaceable and of course they got their thoughts from me. it's not really hard to work out for yourself but of course that would not involve a dig at someone.

And what percentage of those panickers do you reckon are either:
  • on their 53rd season of Football Manager or
have just become BIG City fans since 2008 or
are currently on six week holiday break

No need to get so defensive mate, I wasn't having a dig. You were so precise, just like many have been with Van Persie, so I was just asking.

You stated that Bob wanted to get rid of specific players so automatically I need to find out if he's got your ear.

However, I now have my answer and it's another informed opinion stated as fact. That's all I asked.

Just read the John cross article and to be honest it's nothing short of embarrassing.

Quote below from Cross when Arsenal beat us

After watching Arsenal sweep aside title-chasing City last weekend, John Cross of the Daily Mirror is confident the Dutch talisman will realise the risks in moving to a dressing room that seems to be at war with one another. He says, “The grass isn’t always greener, money doesn’t buy you absolutely everything. Man City can offer him more pound notes but if Sunday told us anything it’s that Arsenal is still a happier place for Van Persie to be than Man City.”

Was Arsenal a happier place on the last day of the season?

Cross is usually not a bad journo but when his beloved Arsenal are involved he acts like a jealous lover.

Yes they finished 3rd.
