Well, Tolmie did mention things would get more concrete this week. Mancini seems to be pulling out the race, so now its probably all up to Wenger, would should just fuck RVP off to Italy.

What ever gives you the idea Mancini is pulling out of the race. Ha ha he's mancini number 1 target, he won't pull out until RVP, signs for someone else.

This quote is now being copied and pasted and uploaded all over the place but did Mancini really make it? I am not sure he did. I was following his remarks and this summary didn't originally appear. If true, then it's the first confirmation that Mancini wants the player

When you talk about Manchester City, Manchester United and Juve, it is difficult for a player to choose between those three clubs," said Mancini from City's pre-season tour in the Far East.
"They are all top teams and I've no idea what will happen with him. If we have a chance to take him, we will try because we think he is a top striker.

"For now he is an Arsenal player and I think Arsenal are a top team. It is not easy for Van Persie and other players to leave them."

Edit: Seems to have come from an interview he's given for the Daily Mail. Think we have to accept it's true

Why do City want RVP?

They can sign other strikers like Falcao,Cavani and Defoe who are all better and much much younger.

Most of us have accepted it for quite a while.

lol. Marv only deals in hard facts.
Correct. Learned to be very sceptical of newspaper opinion written by people who spent most of their time laughing at and ridiculing our club.

I know fella, although it was pretty obvious we were in for RvP.

Fair enough..

The most common sense thing we can do is let Adebayor go on a free as is reported in the Mirror today (I know it's only the Mirror) as as I said on her some time ago and got slated. Everybody wins from this scenario! Van Persie comes in, Aebayor goes back to Spurs on his existing wages subsidized by lack of £8m transfer fee, Mancini is delighted, Bacon Face is in despair, and we don't have to keep a player who we aren't going to use but do have to pay. I predict that this is what will happen.
