The most common sense thing we can do is let Adebayor go on a free as is reported in the Mirror today (I know it's only the Mirror) as as I said on her some time ago and got slated. Everybody wins from this scenario! Van Persie comes in, Aebayor goes back to Spurs on his existing wages subsidized by lack of £8m transfer fee, Mancini is delighted, Bacon Face is in despair, and we don't have to keep a player who we aren't going to use but do have to pay. I predict that this is what will happen.

Welcome to the board Mr Levy.

You could probably do with going on this course, mate.

Le Arse could be in trouble early if they let RvP go: <a class="postlink" href="http://news.arseblog.com/2012/07/wenger-giroud-and-podolski-to-miss-start-of-season/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://news.arseblog.com/2012/07/wenger ... m=facebook</a>

If they are, do they have it about them to recover same as last season?

So what do you suggest we do with Adebayor? Pay him for 2 years til his contract expires. or use him to broker the VP deal?

I'd rather sell him abroad and subsidise his wages than give him to spuds for fuck all, they have money, they just want him for fuck all the tight fuckers.

Put him out on loan again and let him do a job against the other chasing clubs.

Fully appreciate what you say, but if it is the key to getting Van Persie as is Mancini's stated wish, oughtn't we to let Spuds have him? Yes, see what you're saying, but if the alternative is VP running out at the swamp next season, I think we should swallow our pride. Just my opinion. I am as much for wanting VP at City, as I am terrified of him going to United.

I believe if we let him go on a free, his entire wage packet counts against FFPR as it's considered fiscally irrresponsible. As is, his wages don't count. Let him sit on the bench if need be.
