Wonder if all the people so desperate for RVP to not come here will be happy with him going to United now.

Madness to want to see him at United. Would make them title favourites imo.

How can he be signing for the rags?

Aren't they skint? They can't afford £20m and £200k a week... I'm sure I read that on here! ;-))

Morning all my fellow citizens........

Well just come back from my hols, and I am frustrated at the minute at the lack of movement in the transfer market. I don't just mean in terms of signings, but mainly in the fact of off loading the unwanted.

We don't need to sign marquee players just add a few that will push the team onwards in terms of competing in europe.

I though would not be upset at not getting RVP, 29 years old and had a great last season, very poor Euro 2012 and I would be very surprised if he repeated his league form this time around.

PS - great to be back in sunny blighty LOL : )

Whoaaaaaaaa

You do know we have Tevez and Aguero????

Because Rooney and RVP is a stunning front two, and strengthens a position where they were relatively weak (don't rate Wellbeck or Chicarito). Add RVPs goals to Uniteds performance last season and he could very well make the difference between winning the title and losing out on goal difference. I have everything crossed that he doesn't go there.

I think with Vidic back if they sign VP they will be favourites especially if we sign no players as is looking more likely by the day.

We have 4 stunning forwards.. If they sign him it's a change in how they buy players a 29 year old with an injury around the corner his recovery from a minimum injury would take months to get to fill fitness.. The difference it if he came to us we have the cover the scum don't they are probably more in need of him than us...

Last season was probabily the first season he hasnt had a major injury...

I am not bothered to be honest, he has a lot of ability but he looks like he would argue with anybody and we do not need somebody like that in our dressing room..

Why do we have to be favorites? If United sign RVP then so be it. Obviously I want them to be shit but they are not. They will beat most teams and only play us twice. Theg will be a force mo matter what. Our competitors will strengthen. We need to up our game. But we can sign everyone.

I'd be happy to get a top CB like Agger and a few upcoming players like Omar and Biton. Our squad is phenomenal already. Our season will come down to Mancini figuring out how to unlock tight defenses consistently. It'll not depend on RVP.

I hope RVP goes abroad. I song want him here for sure. He'd a c@nt.

the new Berbaflop?

we can't sign every player out there just to stop them going to our rivals

some great players will go there as always

the question is not are we happy if ends up a rag......the question is do City need RVP and do we need him enough to pay through the nose and make playing time promises that we probably can't keep anyway

I wonder if all the people who wanted him here are now thinking he's a **** for not wanting to come to us and joining the Rags?

Don't you know that's how it works?! ;) if he comes to us he's an awesome signing if he goes to the scum he's a kunt and a 29 year old injury prone has been... ;)

respect RVP as a top top player, no doubt about it, but all along just dont see how he fits into the City team at all.

But they don't sign 29 year olds on 200K a week. ;-)

Obviously there must be value in the market ATM.

Would much rather United spend £20m and £200k per week wages on RVP, a player they don't really need, than spend it on a left back and central midfielder.
