Not going to lie, a Rooney/van Persie partnership with Welbeck off the bench isn't something I would look forward to.

To be fair, i'd say Aguero and Tevez with Balotelli and Dzeko on the bench is still superior.

Reported today he's going to sign a new five year deal.

He's 21 so he'll have to do his time on the bench I guess. Although, he just needs to wait till November when van Persie gets injured and then we also thank our lucky stars we didn't sign him...

The report on Setantas website says 'reportedly' Wenger has agreed to sell to Utd for 22m. Not a single hint of who that 'report' has come from though.

I don't think so - with all their debt, and the fact that they now have external shareholders to satisfy, as well as their huge annual interest burden, this is £22M for which they will get no resale value - he needs to win them the CL for it to be a steal, and I dont think they are good enough for that

Its an awesome deal for United RVP and Rooney will be dangerous

obviously their board has sanctioned the deal so they will manage.
