With FFP coming in, we can't afford to spend that huge. It's either Hazard or RVP, pick one.

The media is spewing some bullshit news about us and RVP saying we'll offer him £250,000 a week.

We should in no way go for him. We have Dzeko, Tevez, Aguero and Balotelli. Strikers that are in there prime as well as young that will still get better. Each one of them has played a part in us winning the league this season.

Dzeko's goals at the start of the season, Aguero constantly throughout the season, Tevez revitalized us towards the end. Balotelli bagged some goals at the start.

We do not need any other strikers, unless any of them are sold. Balotelli looks like he's staying, Aguero is obviously staying, Dzeko said he wants to stay, and Tevez looks like he wants to stay and that Mancini wants to keep him. So the one most likely to be sold is Dzeko but I don't think we will sell him.

All 4 strikers are good finishers, and each of them adds a different dimension to our game. We should concentrate on strengthening the defense and midfield positions instead.

There are not many better strikers out there than what we have right now, if we can get players added to our midfield that can add another dimension then that would be money far better spent. Maybe a proper winger, someone that can dribble and put a good ball in (I do think that AJ is much better on the left than he is on the right side, may be worth giving him a run next season on the left side).

Other players like Hazard, who can create, dribble, cross and score, play AMC or on the wings.

A player who can cover for Toure, or another center back that can challenge Kompany and Lescott for a position (rather than Savic who should be loaned out). These are areas where we need to strengthen, not strikers.

But for people to be going on about RVP, a 29 or 30 year old, who in a year or two will be far closer to retirement than anything, is a waste of money.

I can not agree more

Think you'll be wrong mate. I'd guess there will be 3 'quality' signings coming in, offset by fringe player sales , ady etc, and maybe the sale of Herman or Edin. Maybe a net spend of 40 - 50 mill ?

Not if we want to win the Champs League in the next three years it isnt...................RVP will certainly improve our chances of doing so, because right now he is better than what we've got.

forget ffp mate!! we`ll wheel and deal this summer and be alot better than last season!! rvp would benefit us hugely, trust the manager and owner, they know what they`re doing and how to do the books.

Get rid of the dead wood we have hanging around, Tevez isn't going anywhere, bring in RVP and EH and in a complete turnabout from me give Balo one more chance to prove he can behave himself and prove those people right who think he can be world class, personally I don't think he is world class or ever will be but I'd be happy to be wrong.

Ignore what the press says about wages and us. They make it up and then each time it's reported they add more! Just look at Yaya's wages as reported, they love to add thosands. I'm not saying they aren't ridiculously well paid, but why don't they do the same about Rooney, etc?

We don't need more strikers, Aguero is better than that **** RVP.

Our strikers will finish the chances, we just need to add another dimension to our midfield to create more chances, clear ones, as well as strengthen the midfield and defense squad depth.

If Silva gets injured or needs a rest, no one can do what he does, the same with Yaya and Kompany. Look how everyone was shitting it when Savic was in the team. We need players who can be back up to them, and who can be rotated to give them a rest without weakening the team.

Imagine getting 3 players like Nuri Sahin / Javi Martinez, Hummels and Hazard. I'm not saying it has to be them, but players that are already proven to be good, who can still improve further, young players, not some bloody 29 year old.

Our First 11 is the best in the league, however past that, the squad can still be better. Not only would it add competition for places in positions where competition is lacking, but it would like I said help us when we need to rotate players, or help us if key players get injured.

Cannot believe there is anybody that wouldnt want van persie, its not our money so why anybody is worrying about the cost baffles me.
If the manager wants him and the owner sanctions it we will be getting one of the best strikers in europe in his prime, whats not to like.
