Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the reports originated in a Catalan TV staion called TV3 and they seem quite confident it will go ahead.

<a class="postlink" href="http://goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/06/14/1324644/manchester-citys-mark-hughes-ensures-robinho-stay" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/ ... binho-stay</a>

Was a couple of days ago that link, but still has quotes from Hughes in it. However, it does worry me this. Could this mean that Robby wants to go now because hes found out Tevez isnt coming? Not like I know he isnt coming, but just a suggestion. With Elano's future on hold, Robby may well want to leave if Elano isnt staying.

Fuck sake, if this happens, im going to get ripped all summer.

Re: Barcelona set to loan Robinho [Merged]

no toys out of prams here.

let's be realistic. He didn't decide he wanted to join city so much as he decided to leave real. Hughes didn't choose him. He has performed very well in the most part. He is pure class, and we all love the tricks and goals. He's won us a few games. He doesnt show much stomach for the fight. He has been awful at times. He attracts publicity, good and bad. He doesnt seem like a team player. As for his commitment to the club, deciphering his comments and all the stories floating about would require a thread of it's own.

I believe that his contract with the club is probably not as tight as many people appear to think, as it was rushed through. He could well have several escape clauses.

I think Mark Hughes is not particularly enamoured by his behaviour this year, the attention and publicity that he attracts, and may well have had enough of the brazillian connection full stop.

So, if he was to go, it might make MH's job easier. Wether it turned out to be good for the club would only become apparent over time: 1st, if we could replace him with other top class players, and 2nd, how the team and club progressed next year. Anyone who says it would automatically be a disaster is guilty of throwing their toys out of the pram. I hope we all want success more than we want superstars.

Ok I just had a slight rush of blood to head and got quite angry about this story... But does no one else just get slightly stressed with the club and players when these stories are being published? I appreciate that it may not happen or even be true but really gets annoying. Begs the qustion... where is te club going? MH in the story the other week saying he wouldn't even aim as high as top 6???

This deal would only be worth it if Eto'o was cominig the other way and we sign Tevez!

He never said he wasn't going to aim at top 6, he just wasn't going to name a target. He'll have his own targets, he doesn't need to give the press more ammunition to nail him to the cross with..

Re: Barcelona set to loan Robinho [Merged]

It would be nice if the club posted something on the official site rubbishing these storys.

Fair enough, suppose it's a waiting game now to see what happens with everything...
