Robinho (Merged)

I could see Robinho back in the summer, especially if he has a storming World Cup.

There are few clubs who will be able to meet the asking price. We want what we paid for him at present.

If he does the business in South Africa, he will certainly come at an extra premium.

You can count on three fingers who can afford him - and two of them he has already played for.

Barca are the only viable option. If there is a change of manager at City, he could be motivated enough to return.

Whichever way you look at it, we are sitting pretty.

A major bargaining tool for any player we are interested in, or a World Cup winner with his confidence back and maybe highly-motivated to prove his actual worth.

Failsworth Blue, he only made 101 appearances over 3 years in Spain, scoring 25 goals (1 in 4 effectively). Please see link below for further info:

Basically backs up the point i was making. 101 leauge appearances in 3 years is good going when you consider the maximum amount of leauge games you can play in 3 seasons is 114. In his last season he started 28 of the 32 games and can't be classed as anything other than a key player for Madrid

The statistics may lie though as it does not disclose how many times them appearances were with him coming off the bench.

In his last season at Madrid he started 28 out of the 38 leauge games making 4 sub appearances and scoring 11 goals along with 14 assists. To play that amount of games and have a hand in that amount of goals for a team that won La Liga is an excellent season and he was a key player for them however Robinho being Robinho he didn't like them wanting to bring someone else in in his place and there was no going back for him hence why he came to us despite us not being in europe and finishing in mid table of the premiership the season prior to his move

Anyway we'll see how he gets on in the world cup but i reckon he'll be back here next season because not many teams have enough money to buy him

he wasnt great for most of the match last night... i would still pick ronaldinho ahead of him, who has been on top form for milan, where as robinho plays sunday league!
